Our front counter deputy said a woman called the sheriff’s station to ask if her lost wallet had been turned in. The deputy informed the caller that no one had turned in her wallet yet, but she would take down her phone number and call her if there were any updates.
Later that same day, a woman in her early 20’s, walked into our station and handed our front counter deputy a wallet that she found in the street near a Canyon Country store. The wallet contained a driver's license, credit cards, and a small amount of cash. The deputy called the woman who lost her wallet, and informed her that her wallet had been turned in.
The woman came to the station, inspected the wallet, and said it was just as she lost it."
