The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department of Santa Clarita is set up to promote the implementation and develop programs for the area to encourage healthy lifestyles throughout the community. Activities for youth, adults, and families are a big focus for the department, and many of the city’s programs have been established.
Classes are held for residents as well as interim sports teams have been instituted including adult soccer, coed volleyball, basketball, and softball as well as a youth basketball league, football league, and t-ball / softball league and a PeeWee sports program for children aged 3 ˝ - 6 years old. The Activities Center with meeting rooms and a teen center with a game room. Aquatics Center has three pools: a competition pool, diving pool, and an activity pool. Santa Clarita Aquatic Center The Aquatic Center provides aquatic programs for the community. These programs include everything from adult swim classes and youth classes, kayaking, safety classes, synchronized swimming, to workout and exercise classes and everything in between. The Aquatics Center has three pools: a 50 meter competition pool with timing system, a diving pool, and an activity pool with a 160 foot long slide.
