The Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department of Santa Clarita is set up to promote the
implementation and develop programs for the area to encourage healthy
lifestyles throughout the community. Activities for youth, adults, and
families are a big focus for the department, and many of the city’s
programs have been established.
Classes are held for residents
as well as interim sports teams have been instituted including adult
soccer, coed volleyball, basketball, and softball as well as a youth
basketball league, football league, and t-ball / softball league and a
PeeWee sports program for children aged 3 ˝ - 6 years old.Sporting Facilities

Sports Complex is a public, nonprofit facility offering basketball
courts/volleyball courts, racquetball courts, an aquatics center,
gymnasium, skate and bike park. The Activities Center with meeting rooms
and a teen center with a game room.
Aquatics Center has three pools: a competition pool, diving pool, and an activity pool. Santa Clarita Aquatic Center
Aquatic Center provides aquatic programs for the community. These
programs include everything from adult swim classes and youth classes,
kayaking, safety classes, synchronized swimming, to workout and exercise
classes and everything in between. The Aquatics Center has three pools:
a 50 meter competition pool with timing system, a diving pool, and an
activity pool with a 160 foot long slide.
There are free monthly swim clinics, and nominal fees for classes and family fun swim times. The City of Santa Clarita Community Centers

Community Center has a full gymnasium for youth sports and recreation
programs, as well as a professional boxing gym for child and adult
boxing programs. They offer a boxing program and martial arts program
for youth to participate in as well as other organized sports.
