Job Description:
Quality Services
Reports to Director of Quality
Position Role
The position is an integral part of the Quality Services Team. The position will be responsible for:
•Color matching purchased bulk and preparing quantitative formula and cost per gallon.
•Performing stability for color matched shade and documenting results.
•Assisting Compounding Department on pilot batches of color match shade.
•Evaluating in-process bulk, pre-ship samples of nail lacquers, treatments and all other purchased bulk.
•Complete Non-conforming Notice (NCN) and coordinate disposition of affected materials.
•Monitor temperature of refrigerator used to store nail lacquer standard & incubator.
•Assisting other areas of the Department as needed.
Essential Functions
•Properly handle and control all documents in accordance with Document Control Procedures.
•Correspond with commodity buyer, Marketing Dept (if applicable) & vendor on approvals / rejections of materials on a timely manner.
•Maintain an awareness of cGMP’s and cGLP’s and maintains compliance with these regulations; Documents all activities associated with cGMP compliance (i. e. instrument calibration, OOS investigations etc. ).
•Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and to set own priorities based on operations schedule and deadlines.
•Participate in equipment validation program.
•Utilize laboratory equipment such as viscometer, pycnometer, densitometer, pH meter etc.
•Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
•Maintain good housekeeping and safety in the work area.
Essential Qualifications
•At least 2 year’s experience in Cosmetic / Pharmaceutical industry and color matching a shade.
•Motivated and work well with others.
•Ability to multi-task and has a take charge attitude.
•Knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations.
•Knowledge of instrumentation usage such as viscometer, pH meter, etc.
•Must have organizational skills, computer skills, analytical skills, decision-making skills and good communication skills.
•Regulatory experience in a plus.
Skills Required:
At least 2 year’s experience in Cosmetic / Pharmaceutical industry and color matching a shade.
Compensation:
$17. 00-$18. 00
