The Newhall Farmers Market is a great idea; however, more vendors are needed to draw the people in. The vendor spaces are too expensive this year considering the number of people who frequent the event. Fees have increased over 100%. It would make more sense to lower the fee, thereby making it more affordable for more vendors to participate and hopefully bring in more people. As it is now, many vendors are not interested because of the fee increase. Considering the current economical situation, why not make it easier for local vendors to participate rather than having them seek other affordable venues outside the city. More advertisement is also needed.
