Have met some really nice folks and have loved seeing my dogs run and play. I saw today however, a dog that did not appear to have been socialized with other dogs enter - a gold pit looking dog. Seemed young and friendly with people but challenged some of the other dogs. When the other dogs checked her, the dogs owner b/c irritated with the other owners. You have to remember that if you come here, the dogs are playing amongst themselves using their rules - not ours.
Park itself needs to be much larger - take out that field directly in front of it, move it there and use this section for an agility course.

I wish Central Park dog park was better maintained says:

The grass is just gone! It is clear they haven't watered in a while. The new dog park is looking the same way.

My new dog was a Christmas present. No quite two years old, and full of energy, he and I visited the dog park for the first time last Saturday. What a great experience for the both of us.

He ran, ran and ran until he tired himself out. He thoroughly enjoyed his interaction with the other dogs. Each new dog coming thru the gate was another chance to run and chase.

I only wish we had another dog park on the west side of SCV. But until we do we will continue to visit Central Park's dog park.
